General information for groups and organizations that wish to do something for Sudan
There are a number of ways that groups and organizations can get involved in campaigns and initiatives for peace in Sudan. It doesn't matter if you represent a large organization or a small local group - often local groups organize excellent things! There are ways for all kinds of groups to get involved. The most common ways of participating in our campaigns and initiatives are the following:
-Distribute information about a campaign to your members, via meetings, email or other means
-Promote a campaign or initiative on your website
-Contact us about pamphlets, postcards, petitions, buttons and other materials that you can use in your local efforts
-If you work with a small group, have a meeting with them or other like-minded people to do something concrete and effective, such as writing hand-written letters to politicians or preparing to meet with your local member of parliament
-Sign-up your group or organization as a member of the coalition
-Communicate with other members of the coalition, to find ways of working together on common goals
-Hold an event to raise awareness and/or funds. Most of these events can get some kinds of local or other media coverage. These events also provide ways to network with other people in your area and to encourage people to participate in campaigns or initiatives.

Your group or organization does not have to be a member of The Darfur/Sudan Peace Network to participate in our postcard campaign.
